Philadelphia is home to several great museums. Here is some more info on a few of these Philly based museums.
Atwater-Kent Municipal Museum

The Atwater-Kent Municipal Museum was started in 1938 and is also known as the Atwater Kent Philadelphia History Museum.
The museum hosts approximately 10,000 memorabilia and collectibles from the Historical Society of Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art was established in 1876 along with the Centennial Exposition. It is located at the west end of
the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park area. The museum is home to some of the most important works of
Thomas Eakins along with Pennsylvania German art, 18th century and 19th century furniture and silver by early Philadelphia and
Pennsylvania craftsmen.
Rodin Museum

The Rodin Museum of Philadelphia is home to the largest collection of sculptor Auguste Rodin's works outside of France.
Franklin Institute

The Franklin Institute is the national memorial to Benjamin Franklin serving to highlight his legacy. The museum features
many of Franklin's personal effects and interesting exhibits like a flight simulator, virtual reality soccer, and simulated
wheelchair races.
Independence Hall

The Pennsylvania State House was the principal meeting place of the Second Continental Congress from 1775 to 1783, and the site
of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
National Constitution Center
